THE STORY (SO FAR…)
Mahj Styled started with mahjong, but it was never going to stop there.
What began with a love of tiles and tablescapes has turned into something much bigger. I wanted to create mahjong experiences that were fun to attend, where the details mattered, the atmosphere felt just right, and everyone left looking forward to the next one.
First came tablescapes. Then came mahjong classes. Then the events, Card Collective, and eventually The Loft: a little home away from home in downtown Wake Forest.
Somewhere along the way, I realized the best part wasn't mahjong; it was watching friendships form. Seeing familiar faces come back week after week. Hearing people make plans together after the game was over. Realizing that what started around a mahjong table could become the beginning of all sorts of other adventures.
That's where the next phase of Mahj Styled begins.
With the Mahj Styled Social Club, we're making room for even more of the good stuff: book clubs, stitch nights, fancy dinners, field trips, travel, and whatever else brings us together. Mahjong is still at the heart of Mahj Styled. It's just no longer the whole story.
Life is more fun when you've got something to look forward to and great people to share it with. Are you coming with us?
